Building Should Be Fun

Building Should Be Fun

What a blessing is Lake Tahoe, the surrounding Tahoe Basin, and the East Slope. Oh my gosh! Building or remodeling a home for yourself and family should be fun. If, at any point, this process becomes not fun, let’s reevaluate the process.

I will tell you now, something that I have learned not through my spiritual practices, but through the providing of lovely homes for my clients: If there is anxiety between myself and the client, if the trades are on top of each other and not getting along, if the neighborhood and neighbors are upset about parking, traffic, or noise, this energetic quality will stay with the new creation. It is, in my opinion, of utmost importance to create a flow that all players can experience the appropriate amount of challenge, value for their input, and acknowledgement of their achievements.

This is something that I have been aware of for most of my career. It is not however, something that I have freely conversed about until now, later in my career. Let’s have fun. Let’s be fair. Let’s be equitable. Let’s treat others like we would like to be treated. The rewards are a beautiful home and a happy life.
